Jessica Paul

New Entrant of Freelance, London
Participated in CROSSOVER NEW ENTRANTS' PROGRAMME

I graduated last year with a degree in history and philosophy from Cambridge. In the last six months I've worked in various capacities for Indefinite Films, Zimmedia Productions, Wall to Wall Television, Bristol’s Afrika Eye Film Festival, Sheffield’s Doc/Fest, and International Doc Fest Amsterdam all of which have been amazing.

Documentary nurtures a relationship between imagination and truth I find irresistible. I want to engage with and reflect on the world we live in and on the choices we make and documentary is a great way to do that. I hope we can challenge accepted truths and think outside the box. Cross-platform offers unprecedented opportunities to expand imagination and multiplicity in media and I want to be a part of it.

I'm a New Zealander and one of nine children. I find maps comforting on my wall but don't seem to learn much from them. I love food, being near the sea, and live music.
