I am an independent filmmaker and artist based in London but originally from the Highlands of Scotland. I have directed a few short documentaries based around profiles of people with unusual and inspiring stories.
My first film ‘From Coats to Capes' premiered at Edinburgh International Film Festival in 2007 and documented the story of Mark Millar ('Wanted', 'Kick Ass') a renowned graphic novelist from Coatbridge. I received a commission from Channel 4's 4Talent to direct ‘Celtic Astronaut Spiderman' for their website about the creative industries in Scotland which was produced by BAFTA nominated Blindside Productions.
I am working on a personal and playful documentary called 'Still Life' set in the bowling club I currently live in and in August I plan to visit Finland to shoot a trailer for 'Sundown' - a documentary I want to make about Finnish Ramadan.
