Over the last 18 years Richard has produced interactive media at the BBC, Yoomedia, TwoWayTV and other leading edge UK companies. These products have ranged from analogue interactive TV through digital, interactive advertising and websites and include the development of real-time sms to TV as well as being the first producer of the BBC blogs network. He was Digital Strategy Director of Chemistry Communication Group Plc where he developed innovative digital communications strategies across Chemistry’s clients including Defra, DCSF, Unilever, Diageo and many others.

He is also a director and founder of Perfectly Normal Productions who make innovative on-line and radio dramas and a trustee of two charities.

The purpose of these mini-labs is 

-Provide potential competitors with information about the competition, its scope and how to enter

-Stimulate debate about the impact of digital technology on society, politics, the economy, education, culture

-Inspire participants to generate ideas for subjects and topics to cover

-Give practical tips and advice on making, digitising and posting their films
